Some things we can do

We can drive up to Mount Sugarloaf, Newcastle's highest lookout. From here you will enjoy stunning views over both the city to the east and views up through the Hunter Valley to the west. While up there we will learn about the history of the area and how the mountain was named.
From here we will travel down to the shores of Lake Macquarie and take a stroll along the lakeside boardwalk. While here we will also take in the Lake Macquarie sculpture trail, which features many world-renowned artists.

Being an outdoor recreation guide means our tour wouldn't be complete without a walk into nature. For a unique nature experience, we will walk through the bush to visit Glenrock lagoon. Listen to history stories about the discovery of the area and how it was home to Australia first coal mine. Remnants of the old train lines and tunnels are still in existence today.

Finally, any tour of Newcastle would n't be complete without a walk out along the Nobby's Breakwall. The walk along the wall provides an opportunity to see first hand why the city of Newcastle is the largest coal shipping harbour in the world.
Also discover some more of Newcastles history from convict escapes, sunken ships and heroic tales of rescues.
